Michelle's Visit

On Friday we had a guest speaker who spoke to us about how she became successful. Her name is Michelle Newton she has two kids and works for Niu FM at Manukau and is a stand up comedian.

She is a Cook Islander. when she came in we started of with the school prayer. After the school prayer we asked her questions.

Michelle is a funny lady she told us a jokes. Someone asked her a very good question, it was WHAT MADE YOU SUCCESSFUL? She said “I became successful by studying hard in school”.

Then Michelle was talking about her to kids she likes to embarrass them. Michelle is a big fan of the Warriors she said who ever doesn't like the Warriors get out. Michelle's eyes change in the different seasons.

Miss Leaupepe wanted two more people to ask her questions when she answered their question I had to say the thank you speech for her at the end.

After listening to Michelle's successes and journey our teacher wanted to take photos with her. We enjoyed hanging with Michelle.

weekly Reflection

My highlights for this week were presenting with my group about Fiji and having fitness. Also joining netball and having fun with the new student.

My lowlights for this week were kids wasting learning time, and making our teacher stop all the time.

I am looking forward to learning lots and listening to the instructions and doing what my teacher says straight away.

Mum description

My mum is from Lapaha. she has has 2 sisters and 1 brother . She’s got black and blonde hair. her hair is very short. my mum is a fair lady .She works with old people, she cares for them and takes them shopping and does everything that needs to be done.

My mum likes eating vegetables. she says ‘eat your veggies up because it’s good for your tummy’. She dislikes babies crying because it disturbs her when she is sewing or on the phone. My mum hates the house being messy. also she doesn't like eating junk food and sweets because it rots your teeth and makes holes in it.

My mum plaits my hair for school sometimes. also she pays for everything, like school fees. the most important thing she told me was to follow the footsteps of Jesus and turn away from sin.
I love my mum because she is the one that that provides everything for me and cares for me when I'm sick.
